Innovation Month
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elsinore recognizes that Riverside County has become a hub of innovation, technology and entrepreneurial activities that needs to be highlighted and shared throughout California. The City of Lake Elsinore recognizes and acknowledges the value of creating an environment that helps support innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship. With many great advances in these fields, the City of Lake Elsinore will proclaim the month of April, 2024 as Innovation Month;
WHEREAS, Riverside County is the fourth largest county in California and encompasses twenty-eight cities, numerous Tribal Governments, and several major universities and esteemed community colleges. Riverside County is home to March Air Reserve Base and the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Corona Division, who work closely with our educational institutions and offer entrepreneurial opportunities with military research, development, and technology transfer;
WHEREAS, our thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem is forged through partnerships with businesses, cities, chambers of commerce, and strategic partners that help make Riverside County a place for innovation and entrepreneurship; and WHEREAS, several innovative and entrepreneurial activities and events are scheduled throughout Riverside County in the month of April and will be featured on a calendar managed by the Riverside County Office of Economic Development in partnership with the City of Lake Elsinore’s Office of Economic Development. This month-long showcase has been coordinated by the County of Riverside, city municipalities, and related organizations to provide outreach and bring awareness to the various innovative and entrepreneurial activities and events that are occurring within our communities.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Lake Elsinore, California, does hereby proclaim the
month of April 2024 as “Innovation Month” in the
City of Lake Elsinore, and encourages our
community to embrace, motivate, and support our
region’s efforts to become a hub of innovation,
technology, and entrepreneurship in order to thrive
and provide the highest quality of life for generations to come.
