Subject:Purchase of One (1) Heavy Duty 4-post Vehicle Lift Recommendation
Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a purchase order with Southwest Lift & Equipment, Inc. for one (1) Heavy Duty 4-Post Vehicle Lift in an amount not to exceed $36,173.55 (including tax) in such final form approved by the City Attorney.
Background
Public Works Operations has one (1) 4-Post Vehicle Lift purchased in July of 2006. Safety regulations and standards are constantly evolving, and the Public Works Department needs to comply to avoid any potential penalties for non-compliance. The current vehicle lift is prone to breakdowns and requires frequent repairs, causing delays and disruptions in maintenance operations. By replacing it with a new heavy-duty four-post lift from Southwest Lift & Equipment, the Public Works Department can ensure a safer working environment and reduce the risk of accidents or injuries.

The heavy-duty four-post vehicle lift allows easy and efficient maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles and equipment. It provides a stable and secure platform for lifting and working on vehicles, reducing the time and effort required for maintenance tasks.
