Subject:Public Works Construction Agreement with Aneen Construction, Inc. for Camino Del Norte Sewer Line Extension Project (Project No. Z30016) Recommendation
Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a Public Works Construction Agreement with Aneen Construction, Inc. in the amount of $851,780.00 for the Camino Del Norte Sewer Extension Project (Project No. Z30016) in such final form as approved by the City Attorney; authorize the City Manager to execute change orders not to exceed a 10% contingency amount of $85,178.00; and authorize City Engineer to record the Notice of Completion once it is determined the work is complete and the improvements are accepted into the City-maintained drainage network.
Background
This project will extend the existing 8” sewer approximately 1,225 feet to the future Elsinore Hills Road/Camino Del Norte intersection.
The project was advertised on September 24, 2024. On October 22, 2024, the bids were publicly displayed. The low bidder is Aneen Construction Inc. at a total cost of $851,780.00.
Discussion
Contractor Bids were secured via the city’s electronic bidding portal PlanetBids on October 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM, results were made publicly visible. The City received three (3) bids from qualified contractors. Staff recommends awarding the project to the apparent qualified low bidder Aneen Construction Inc. The bid results are summarized below:

Fiscal Impact
Public Works Construction Agreement will result in a cost of $851,780.00 plus an additional 10% contingency of $85,178.00. Funding for this project is allocated with the adopted CIP Budget.
