Subject:Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Jolly Jumps
Recommendation
Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with M & J Paul Enterprises, Inc (dba Jolly Jumps) in an amount not to exceed $45,000 per year for event services in such final form as approved by the City Attorney and authorize the City Manager to execute change orders not exceeding a 10% contingency of $4,500 for uncertainties and adjustments.
Background
The City entered into a three-year agreement with Jolly Jumps on October 24, 2023 for rentals and attendant services for inflatable jumpers, games, and other event equipment for events throughout the City and Launch Pointe Destination Resort. That agreement was for $25,000 annually through June 30, 2026 with two (2) optional 12-month extensions. The City also has a multi-year agreement with Little Rascals for similar event services.
Discussion
Due to the limited number of vendors providing such event services, the City must amend the agreement with Jolly Jumps to increase the annual compensation and terms to provide additional flexibility in booking such services. To date in Fiscal Year 2024-25, $18,158 of the approved $25,000 purchase order has been expended, with a minimum of two remaining community events (Bunny Trunk Hop and Taco Fest) for which Jolly Jumps services will be utilized.

Fiscal Impact
The amendment increases the contract amount from $25,000 to $45,000 per year. Costs incurred for services provided through this agreement are included in the annual operating budgets for the Community Services Department and Launch Pointe Destination Resort.
