REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL
To:Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council
From:Jason Simpson, City Manager
Prepared by:Johnathan Oliver Skinner, Director of Community Services Date:March 25, 2025
Subject:Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement with Dustin Thompson Photography
Recommendation
Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Dustin Thompson Photography in an amount not to exceed $45,000 per year for event services in such final form as approved by the City Attorney and authorize the City Manager to execute change orders not exceeding a 10% contingency of $4,500 for uncertainties and adjustments.

Background
The City entered into a three-year agreement with Dustin Thompson Photography on October 24, 2023 for rentals and attendant services for photography and videography at various City events and programs. That agreement was for $30,000 annually through June 30, 2026 with two (2) optional 12-month extensions.

Discussion
Due to increased demand for photography and video services by the Community Services Department and Office of the City Manager, the City must amend the agreement with Dustin Thompson Photography to increase the annual compensation to provide additional flexibility in booking such services. To date in Fiscal Year 2024-25, $19,337.50 of the approved $30,000 purchase order has been expended. Community Services anticipates needing an additional $18,000 and Office of the City Manager anticipates needing an additional $5,000 for the remainder of the year, resulting in an increase of $15,000, with a new annual total of $45,000.
