Subject:Amendment No. 1 to Agreement with Hazzard Backflow, Inc. for Citywide Parks, Facilities, and LLMD’s Testing and Repairs
Recommendation
Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Contractor Services Agreement with Hazzard Backflow and increase compensation by an additional $12,400.00 for an amount not to exceed $42,400.00 in such final form approved by the City Attorney.
Background
Hazzard Backflow has provided backflow testing and repair services to the City of Lake Elsinore for the past 9 years. Hazzard Backflow provides a range of backflow prevention services aimed at ensuring water safety and compliance. Regular testing ensures that backflow prevention devices are functioning properly, helping to protect the potable water supply.
Discussion
Amendment No. 1 is needed to cover Invoice No. 42359 in the amount of $6,900.00 for the backflow replacement (irrigation) and backflow cage install at Yarborough Park and estimate No. 7932 in the amount of $5,500.00 backflow replacement (restrooms) at Yarborough Park. This adjustment will ensure that we can cover the necessary services through the end of the fiscal year.
Fiscal Impact
The funding is available in the FY2025-26 Annual Operating Budget.
