Subject:Parks & Recreation Month Proclamation 2025
Recommendation
Present a Proclamation to the City of Lake Elsinore Community Services Department proclaiming the month of July 2025 as “Park and Recreation Month” in the City of Lake Elsinore.
Background
Park and Recreation Month was first celebrated in July 1985, and it is observed annually to recognize the impact of park and recreation professionals on communities. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the celebration. The month is dedicated to celebrating those who maintain and operate local, state, and community parks. In California, July 2025 has been declared as Parks Make Life Better! Month to emphasize the importance of equitable access to local parks and recreation facilities.

The City of Lake Elsinore Celebrates the month of July as “Park and Recreation Month” with various activities throughout July including:
•July 4 th Party in the Park
•July 4 th Fireworks Spectacular (able to view on shore and on the water on a boat!) •July 10 th Live at the Lakefront Concert: Green Day Tribute Band (Lauch Pointe) •July 17 th Live at the Lakefront Concert: Amigo Bronco, Mexican Regional (Launch Pointe) •July 24 th Live at the Lakefront Concert: Taylor Swift Tribute by Swift nation (Launch Pointe) •July 31th Live at the Lakefront Concert: Tribute to Adele by Always Adel (Launch Pointe) There will also some “free lake pass” days with parking fee.
