Subject:Amendment No. 5 to the Agreement with RP Landscape & Irrigation, Inc. for Monthly Landscape Services for Citywide Parks
Recommendation
Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 5 to extend the Term of the Original Agreement, as amended on a month-to-month basis for three (3) additional months with RP Landscape & Irrigation, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $74,530.35 per month and authorize the City Manager to execute change orders not to exceed a 10% contingency amount of $7,453.00 for unforeseen additional work, in FY 2025-26, beginning July 1, 2025.
Background
On June 30, 2025, RP Landscape & Irrigation completed a five-year agreement with the City of Lake Elsinore for monthly landscape services for citywide parks, beaches, and parkways. After the five-year agreement, the City and RP Landscape & Irrigation agreed to seek an extension of the agreement to continue the monthly landscape services for citywide parks for three (3) additional months.
Discussion
This amendment will provide for the continued services of monthly landscape services to citywide parks, beaches, and parkways. Therefore, staff is requesting a month-to-month agreement with RP Landscape & Irrigation to allow sufficient time until the new contract is awarded. The total planned compensation for the three (3) month period is $223,591.05 and will be paid for in monthly installments, with 10% contingency.
Fiscal Impact
Funds are available in the City’s FY 25-26 Annual Citywide Landscape Maintenance Program.
