Recommendation
Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a Contractor Services Agreement with Great Western Installations, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $100,730.00 for Citywide Park Roll Coats and Surfacing in such final form as approved by the City Attorney and authorize the City Manager to execute change orders not to exceed a 10% contingency of $10,073.00, and authorize City Clerk to record the Notice of Completion once it is determined the work is complete and the improvements are accepted.
Background
The City of Lake Elsinore maintains all citywide parks with poured-in-place playground surfacing.
Over time, these surfaces require maintenance to ensure safety, extend their lifespan, and comply with playground safety standards. A citywide roll coat and surfacing project has been identified to address these needs across multiple park sites.
Discussion
Under this agreement, Great Western Installations will provide the following services:
Mobilization of equipment and materials to designated park sites. Installation and maintenance of temporary fencing for the duration of the project to ensure public safety.
Preparation and pressure washing of existing PIP surfacing. Application of a clear resin topcoat to extend the life and durability of existing PIP pads. Minor surface repairs, up to 20 square feet per site.
