RE: SOLE SOURCE OF SUPPLY - COCHRANE USA INC. - CLEARVU INVISIBLE WALL Cochrane's ClearVu Invisible Wall security systems are the result of consistent and continuous development, trial and experiment, and exposure of the systems to a wide range of conditions in many environments around the world. The unique features embodied in the Clear products have been rigorously tested in numerous installations to meet exacting security demands and thus come with a proven track record of excellence.
Cochrane's ongoing research and development programs have given rise to many patent and design registrations, and to unregistered intellectual property rights in the form of confidential information and copyright material.
These rights extend to the following market-leading features:
Panel Manufacture Process: The ClearVu Invisible Wall mesh is extremely difficult to cut or breach using standard tools. The mesh aperture size effectively eliminates finger holds and footholds and makes it difficult for an intruderto climb over the mesh. Each mesh panel is made using the patented Rock Rigid Panel manufacturing technique in which a number of reinforcing 90-degree bends are moulded into the mesh and its edges to strengthen and impart maximum rigidity to the mesh panel.
Panel/Post Fixation: The panel/post connection of the ClearVu system, encompassing a 48-line wire connection, can withstand up to 8 tonnes of breaking force. A locking mechanism on each post enhances the security of the system while tamper-proof bolts and bolt heads, affixed to the inside of the fence, discourage external attacks.
The post system is unique to Cochrane. Each post in cross section has a trapezoidal shape with a broad front side which faces an attack side and a narrow rear side which faces a defended side of the fence. Side flanges of the panels are profiled to fit closely against the sloping sides from the front to the rear. Comb clamps which secure the flanges to the sides of the posts are then obscured to a significant extent from the attack side of the fence and access to the fasteners used with the clamps is difficult if not impossible. This constitutes a significant enhanced security characteristic.
Additional security is achieved with the recesses in the sloping sides of the posts being configured to engage mechanically with the edge wires of the fence panels.
• Security Enhancements: The pressed edges of the ClearVu Invisible Wall mesh panels allow for integration with security enhancements that can be tailored to a client's needs. A variety of spike toppings is available, as are anti-scale devices and extensions for electrical systems. Anti-tunnel and anti-burrow devices, extending 600mm below ground level, can be designed into the system. Further security integration, by means of engineered posts, allows for camera or lighting installations. The system can also be specifically configured to allow for electrical • Coating: The ClearVu posts and panels are post-manufacture zinc treated, increasing the strength and lifespan of the system. The system can be further enhanced with our patented Marine Fusion Bond (MFB) coating, which is highly suitable for extreme weather and environmental conditions, and which allows for a Cochrane warranty of up to 20 years.
• Appearance: The ClearVu system benefits from a number of architectural features, enhancing the system silhouette and reducing any aggressiveness of appearance. The width of our panels allows for maximum transparency and visibility while the flush panel-post finish, panel profile, modern coating finishes and concealed fixtures further enhance the attractiveness of the fence. The aesthetic appeal of the Clear System does not detract in any way from the primary security function of the ClearVu System.

1. The ClearVu Invisible Wall product is unique.
2. The ClearVu Invisible Wall product is protected by one or more patents and designs, and Cochrane possesses substantial expertise and know-how relating to the manufacture, installation and use of the ClearVu Invisible Wall product. Cochrane has not awarded a licence to any third party to manufacture or sell the ClearVu Invisible Wall.
3. Cochrane has not engaged in a joint venture with any third party to manufacture or sell the ClearVu Invisible Wall product.
4. Thus the sole supplier of the ClearVu Invisible Wall product in the state of California is Cochrane USA Inc.
Cochrane does not claim to be the only provider of security fences and barriers. Cochrane's assertion is that the market leading position which it has achieved through its ongoing research and development relating to security barriers and fencing and the experience which it has gained worldwide in the industry has enabled it to produce a superior product, namely the ClearVu Invisible Wall.
