Recommendation
Open the Public Hearing, receive testimony, if any, and continue consideration of this item off- calendar.
Discussion
The State's Health and Safety Code requires local governments to adopt the most recent editions related to construction model codes. The construction codes include the California Building, Residential, Plumbing, Mechanical, Energy, Green Building Standards, Electrical Codes, and other related codes.
Due to the scope of the changes and the revisions needed to address those changes, staff is recommending that this matter be continued off-calendar. Staff will bring this item for consideration before the City Council at a future meeting date once all the changes are addressed.
