The summer aquatics season promises to be a busy one. The season will start with recreation swim sessions at Mayfair Pool over the Memorial Day Weekend, May 28- 30, and a session of presummer swim lessons from Tuesday, May 31 to Friday, June 10. Daily pool operations will commence at Mayfair Pool on June 18 and will run through Sunday, August 28. Mayfair will remain open weekends through the month of September.

The Lakewood YMCA will operate McCormick Pool this summer in a partnership with the city.

In line with many private and public sector organizations, a shortage of part-time personnel with specialized training and certification makes it challenging for the city to operate two pools this summer. With assistance from the Lakewood YMCA, Lakewood residents will be able to use McCormick on weekdays for lap swim, recreational swim times, and swim lessons. City staff will operate McCormick Pool on weekends this summer for recreation swim and pool rentals. The YMCA will cover the city' s costs in maintaining the pool for the duration of their use. This partnership is a cooperative effort that helps the community as a whole Open swim sessions at Mayfair Pool are as follows:

Recreation Swim Sessions 1- 2: 30 p.m. & 2: 45- 4: 15 p. m. Daily at Mayfair Pool Special Event Family Nights 6: 30- 8 p. m. Every Friday at Mayfair Pool Open swim sessions at McCormick Pool will be offered on weekends beginning June 18 from 1- 2: 30 p.m. & 2: 45- 4: 15 p. m.
