CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION
The City Council recessed to a closed session pursuant to Government Code §54956.9(d)(4) to decide whether to initiate future litigation in one case.
At 6:45 p.m., the City Council was reconvened. Steve Skolnik, for the City Attorney, announced that the following action had been taken:
MAYOR CROFT MOVED AND VICE MAYOR PE SECONDED TO AUTHORIZE JOINING THE PROPOSED SB 9 LITIGATION AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN APPROPRIATE RETAINER AGREEMENT WITH A CAP OF CITY EXPENSES NOT TO EXCEED $40,000, AND IN A FORM APPROVED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY.
Mr. Skolnik reported that the motion had carried with a unanimous vote. . . .
