MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER at 9:13 a.m. by Mayor Wood in the Executive Board Room at the Civic Center, 5000 Clark Avenue, Lakewood, California.

LAKEWOOD CITY COUNCIL GOVERNANCE WORKSHOP
City Manager McCormack 1) introduced the item and explained the purpose of the workshop; 2) introduced Consultant Michael Shellito of Shellito Training and Consulting; and 3) along with Deputy City Manager Beltran and Consultant Shellito, responded to Council Members’ questions.
For the record, discussion ensued relative to 1) pending issues, challenges, and opportunities facing the City; 2) review of the City’s Vision, Mission, and Values and their connection to the Strategic Plan; 3) building a strong City Council organizational culture; and 4) issues requiring clarification.
For the record, there was no formal action taken on this item.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to be brought before the City Council, Mayor Wood adjourned the meeting at 2:01 p.m.
