Background:
This project was required to restore proper climate control systems, allowing MOAH to maintain stable temperatures, increase humidity, and establish a controlled environment within the museum.
Such systems were essential in allowing the safe housing and care of objects on display and in storage, and facilitated the continuation of ongoing projects and developing partnerships with outside entities, such as the Los Angeles County Museum (LACMA) and other potential touring exhibitions. Additional benefits included the increased quality of care for onsite objects in long- term custody of the museum, specifically those of a sensitive nature, and to increase the likelihood of achieving American Alliance of Museums (AAM) Accreditation by adhering to industry operational standards.
Per Section 2.2 of the Existing Community Workforce Agreement (CWA), this project was subject to the CWA by and between the City of Lancaster and Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council, and the Signatory Craft Councils and Unions (CWA). The PWCP 1 4

On Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., the City conducted an electronic bid opening for PWCP 22-009 via PlanetBids. No responsive bids were received.
