Subject: Sole Source Justification – FTI Consulting
Memo: As part of the City’s objective, FTI Consulting will create a comprehensive, proactive engagement strategy to achieve several key project updates, announcements, media, and speaking opportunities for the Communications Division support on key priority projects in the City. FTI Consulting has already established a working relationship with City staff for the past two years creating key resources and insight on the City’s events, obstacles, and past marketing efforts.
FTI Consulting is the only consultant with previous experience on specific City of Lancaster priority projects, as well as being specialized consultants in the marketing field. With their extensive knowledge, and current resources, getting another consultant would contradict any cost savings, therefore the City has no cost benefit to obtain additional quotes from other consultants for this project. Your approval is requested to find FTI Consulting as a sole source vendor.
