1. Approve Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement with JAS Pacific to increase the yearly amount of the contract to $400,000 with an option for a 5% contingency for additional years to include Inspection Service needs for Public Safety.

3. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to finalize and execute all documents related to the agreement.

Fiscal Impact:
$400,000 annually (plus 5% contingency): increase to the contract of $100,000 annually with general funds in 10132000.5710, with remaining $300,000 annually funded from 10123000.5710.

Background:

The City has been utilizing JAS Pacific in the Building and Safety Housing division since October 2021 for inspection and plan check services. JAS Pacific now also provides inspection services to Public Safety’s Code Enforcement division. Because of their expertise in these areas, as well as their familiarity with several key projects currently underway in the Community Development and Public Safety Departments, staff proposes to approve this amendment for these services.
