Michael Harne, Assistant Director – Maintenance Services Subject: Approval of Amendment No. 5 of the Maintenance Yard Security Services Agreement to Blackhawk Protection Services
Recommendations:
1. Approve Amendment No. 5 of the Maintenance Yard Security Services Agreement to Blackhawk Protection Services extending the term of the agreement to February 1, 2025, for a cost not to exceed $186,048.00 for the remaining term.
2. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to negotiate and sign all documents.
Fiscal Impact:
$186,289.95. Funds are available in the fiscal year 2023-2024 and fiscal year 2024-2025 in expenditure accounts 214-41000-5710 and 218-41000-5710. Accordingly, approve a purchase amount of $169,354.50, with a contingency of $16,935.45, for a total not to exceed the amount of $186,289.95.
Background:
The initial agreement for the Maintenance Yard Security Services was signed on January 29, 2020, with the first amendment signed February 3, 2021, and subsequent amendments dated in February 2022, February 2023, March 2023. Security services are used to patrol the parking lot and yard during off-work hours, and to patrol during work hours in the parking lot only.
