Subject: Official Canvass and Certification of the April 09, 2024 General Municipal Election.
Recommendation:
Adopt Resolution No. 24- , reciting the facts of the General Municipal Election held on Tuesday, April 09, 2024, declaring the results and such other matters as provided by law regarding the election of Mayor, two Council Members and Measure C, an advisory measure to determine whether the citizens of Lancaster support a drug treatment program similar to Teen Challenge.

Background:
The General Municipal Election for the City of Lancaster was held and conducted in the City of Lancaster, California on Tuesday, April 09, 2024, as required by law.
Election Code Sections 10262, 10263 and 10264 require, among other things, the City Clerk to declare to the legislative body the results of the General Municipal Election. The City Clerk published the Notice of Election, which was given in time, form and manner as prescribed by law. In all respects the election was held and conducted and the votes were cast, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of all-mail-ballot elections in charter cities.
