Recommendation:
A. Approve Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation (LPACF) to support one fully burdened part-time staff member for the purpose of providing support to the LPACF Board of Directors for a period of three years.
B. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to sign all agreements and associated documents.
Fiscal Impact:
The LPACF will reimburse the City of Lancaster for a fully burdened part-time Senior Office Assistant annually through May 6, 2027. The reimbursement is expected to be $26,454 in year one, $27,780 in year two, and $29,167 in year three; totaling a revenue of $83,401.
Background:
The LPACF was founded in 1989, with the mission to provide enhancements and quality upgrades to the Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC) facility and performances. Through the generous contributions of their supporters, the foundation in partnerships with the community and LPAC, has made is possible for thousand of students to experience, educational and inspirational dance, musical and theatrical performances, through the Arts for Youth program.
The LPACF Board has expressed their desire to further collaborate with the City to hire a part- time staff member for the purpose of providing support to the foundation Board of Directors. The position would work closely with the LPAC management and LPACF to ensure the foundation’s day to day operations and events run effectively and align with the foundation goals.
