Subject: TDA Article 8 FY2023-24 Application for Available Funds.
Recommendation:
Approve Resolution No. 24-XX, authorizing the City Manager or his designee to apply for $12,071,326 of funds available to the City of Lancaster from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA).
Fiscal Impact:
The application includes a request of FY2023-24 allocation in the amount of $12,071,326. All prior years' reserve funds have been fully utilized.
Background:
Annually, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority allocates Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 8 funds to fund unmet transit needs in areas outside the Metro service area.
TDA Article 8 revenues will be used by the City to fund the following Council-approved and budgeted Capital Improvement Projects and operating transfers:
•Edgeline Refresh Project
•Annual Long Line Striping – RB NBH
•35 th St West Ave K-8 Imp Phase II
•Commercial Driveway Access Mods
•High Vis Crosswalk Standardization
•Right of Way Certification and Environmental Clearance •Redundant Street Lighting
