Alisha was a passionate and dedicated journalist whose career spanned nearly four decades. She began her journey in journalism at California State University, Northridge, where she earned her degree in journalism after transferring from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Alisha's love for writing and commitment to the truth was evident throughout her career, which included significant contributions to the Antelope Valley Press and AeroTech News and Review.

During her time with the Antelope Valley Press, Alisha covered a wide range of topics, including the Antelope Valley-East Kern Water Agency, the City of Lancaster, and the Antelope Valley Community College District. Her reporting reflected her dedication to the Antelope Valley community, and she was known for her pursuit of the truth and love for storytelling.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Alisha was a devoted animal advocate, known for her love of dogs, and a beloved friend known for her quirky charm and heart of gold.

Alisha is survived by her son Joel Semchuck, his wife Tiffanie, and her grandson Seth. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.

Today, we remember and celebrate Alisha Semchuck's significant contributions to journalism and her unwavering dedication to our community. We will miss her spirit, her storytelling, and the joy she brought to those around her.
