Subject:Authorize Deed Restriction for Rawley Duntley Park Recommendation:

G.C. Section 84308: N/A
Fiscal Impact:

No impact on general fund. The Improvements to Rawley Duntley Park Playground and Park Improvements were funded by Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District (RPOSD) Measure A.

Background:

On March 6, 2023, the City of Lancaster was approved for funding through Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District (RPOSD) Measure A, to enhance the playground, basketball court, and amenities at Rawley Duntley Park, located at 3334 West Avenue K, Lancaster, CA 93534. This funding enabled the construction of a new playground and flooring, rehabilitated basketball courts, sidewalk improvements and the addition of new benches and trashcans.

As a condition of the grant, the City must file a deed restriction to prevent the sale or transfer of the property during the contract performance period and safeguard its use for the intended purpose, thus benefiting the community.
