Background:
The Lancaster Police Department has a need for effective and responsive communications with LPD officers and City Staff. This need is best met with InterTalk Systems Enlite radio dispatch consoles.
The Enlite Dispatch System is a cloud hosted evergreen dispatch solution with on-demand scalability that will easily expand as LPD grows. LPD will benefit from encrypted, secure and reliable dispatch with built-in mobile dispatch capabilities, ensuring operational continuity. The dispatch software is flexible in layout and fully configurable based on user roles, ensuring dispatchers always have the right information at their fingertips. The system will be integrated with LPD’s LARICs P25 radio channels, City of Lancaster analog channels, and the City’s 1 9
4 5
phone system allowing dispatchers to have seamless communication across all modes of voice communication on which the City operates.
City staff leveraged the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) ValuePoint contract #00318 to achieve the best possible value for the City of Lancaster in the quickest possible time to ensure the Lancaster Police Department can have its dispatch center operational as soon as possible. NASPO contract #00318 was established for Public Safety Communications Products, Services and Solutions and was competitively bid by the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services with the state of California’s participation.
It is recommended that City Council approve this purchase as the primary radio dispatch solution for the Lancaster Police Department.
