RESOLUTION NO. 25-__
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LANCASTER, CALIFORNIA, TO RENAME THE LANCASTER
MUSEUM OF ART AND HISTORY EDUCATION CLASSROOM
TO LEARN4LIFE EDUCATION ROOM.
WHEREAS, The Lancaster Museum of Art and History, Education Classroom has been a educational community gathering place for many years; and WHEREAS, the City of Lancaster (City) has received an application to rename the Lancaster Museum of Art and History, Education Classroom to Learn4Life Education Room; and WHEREAS, the City has published a notice of intent to rename the Lancaster Museum of Art and History, Education Classroom to Learn4Life Education Room in the Antelope Valley Press newspaper on March 26, 2025 and April 3, 2025; and WHEREAS, the City Council determined there was no public comment received by published deadline to the proposed facility name; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determined the application for facility naming meets the criteria of “exceptional contributions to the City or demonstrated commitment to public service” as established in Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual Number 000-03.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that Facility Naming Procedure, as outlined in the City of Lancaster Administrative Procedure Number 000-03, has been followed; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined Learn4Life Education Room naming is an appropriate way to commemorate the support of the Lancaster Museum of Art and History; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to rename the Lancaster Museum of Art and History, Education Classroom to Learn4Life Education Room.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LANCASTER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Lancaster Museum of Art and History, Education Classroom is hereby renamed to Learn4Life Education Room.
Section 3. If any provision of this resolution is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck from this resolution and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, which shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
