Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact associated with receiving and filing this report.
Background:
This report is presented in compliance with Assembly Bill 2561 (AB 2561), signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom on September 22, 2024. AB 2561 requires local agencies to conduct at least one public hearing annually prior to budget adoption to report on staffing vacancies, assess recruitment and retention efforts, and provide a forum for participation by recognized employee organizations. The City of Lancaster's workforce data for the calendar year 2024, along with current staffing data as of June 1, 2025, are included herein.
