Adopt Resolution No. , declaring its intention to vacate a portion of the public Road Easement described and shown in the Road Deed recorded as Instrument No. 91-1041663 of Official Records on July 9, 1991, located at the southwest corner of Avenue L and 5 th Street East, in the City of Lancaster, County of Los Angeles, State of California.

Background:
Said public Road Easement was dedicated to the City as part of the conditions of approval for Tract Map No. 48978. City staff recommends vacating a ±670 square-foot portion of the public Road Easement as described and shown on Exhibits “A” and “B” of the Resolution. The portion of the public road easement is no longer needed and has been determined to serve no foreseeable public use.
On August 1, 2024, the City sent notifications to provide opportunities to all utility agencies that wish to reserve easements for any existing or planned utilities within the proposed area to be vacated. The City has not received a request to reserve easement from any utility companies.
Staff recommend that the City Council meeting on July 8, 2025, be set as the date of the Public Hearing to proceed with vacation of this public road right-of-way. 2 0
