Background:
On November 5, 2024, voters supported Measure A, a half-cent sales tax that will sunset Measure H, a quarter-cent sales tax passed by the voters in 2017 to address Homelessness. Generating over $1 billion annually, Measure A funding will be shared between Los Angeles County (County), cities, and Councils of Government, the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA), and LACAHSA.
LACAHSA was created to make housing more affordable, help people stay in their homes, and increase housing options for people experiencing homelessness. It is a regional organization 1 9

focused on County and comprised of leaders, including the County Supervisors, elected officials representing cities countywide, and nonprofit and community leaders.
LACAHSA has allocated $2,706,937 to the City of Lancaster for affordable housing creation, preservation, prevention, and ownership. Activities will be identified based on guidelines provided by LACAHSA.
