6. A. Approval of School Law Enforcement Services Agreement for School Resource Officer Program 2026-2027
Recommendation
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the School Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Agreement for the 2026-2027 school year, at an hourly rate based on deployment of one full-time (year-round) SRO and one hourly SRO who will be available for the district a minimum of 200 school days. The fully burdened year-round SRO is assigned specifically to the district and available year round, as submitted.
Rationale
Supplemental law enforcement services will support the safety, security, and order of school sites during regular instructional hours, extracurricular functions, and after-school programs through the Extended Learning Opportunities Program. These services will be tailored to address the substantial problems and unique needs of each event, including interscholastic athletic competitions, dances, and other school activities and will not reduce the normal and regular ongoing law enforcement services provided by the School Resource Officers.
