RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LANCASTER, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A MINOR USE
PERMIT ENTITLEMENT APPLICATION FEE
WHEREAS, on October 25, 2022, the City Council of the City of Lancaster (“City Council”) adopted Ordinance No. 1093, a Zone Text Amendment for revisions to Title 17 of the Lancaster Municipal Code, which included the creation of a new Minor Use Permit entitlement ; and
WHEREAS, s ince the adoption of Ordinance No. 1093, staff has applied the existing Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for Existing Facilities fee to MUP applications, as the processes are similar. However, a CUP process is more extensive than an MUP and best practices dictate that an independent fee be established for MUP applications; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to recover costs related to the processing of a Minor Use Permit entitlement
while balancing the needs of prospective applicants; and
WHEREAS, the City has conducted investigations and analysis to determine the appropriate amount of the Minor Use Permit entitlement application fee, while.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LANCASTER, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The amount of the Minor Use Permit entitlement application fee is hereby established at $1 ,058, and said fee shall be subject to regular Consumer Price Index increases applicable to the existing Citywide Fee Schedule.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
