Good evening Mayor Dhaliwali and Good evening council members.
My name is John Thanh Do. I live on in the Mossdale Landing neighborhood.
I’m here to express my concern on the city’s plan to build a warehouse and distribution center behind Lathrop High School. I understand that this development would bring new business and economic growth to the city, however, building behind our high school and residential neighborhoods will create excess noise, traffic, and air pollution. This is not the appropriate area to rezone for building. It threatens the health and safety of our residents. A school and residential zone is meant to be private and quiet, two things that will be disrupted by warehouse production.
I urge you, Mayor Dhaliwali and council members to please reconsider this development for the safety and wellbeing of our city’s residents, especially our students and school faculty members. Thank you for your time.
