SUMMARY:

As the City of Lathrop continues to grow, new improvements are accepted by the City creating a need for ongoing maintenance. As these improvement locations are new, they were not initially included in the budget for maintenance and therefore a budget amendment is required to cover the cost of maintenance. The following locations need to be added to the maintenance contracts and budget.

Funds approved in the Central Lathrop Community Facilities District ( CFD 2019- 2), Local Street, South Lathrop Community Facilities District ( CFD 2019- 1), and Mossdale Community Facilities District ( CFD 2004- 1) did not cover the new improvement maintenance costs, as the City was unsure when the improvements would be completed. Now that these improvements have been accepted or are in the process of being accepted, additional funds for maintenance services are needed, therefore, staff requests Council to approve related budget amendments.

The City Manager executed Contract Change Order No. 14, 15, and 25 to allow Silva Landscape to maintain public landscaped areas located in the Central Lathrop and South Lathrop planned areas. City staff requests ratification of City Manager signature on the Contract Change Order No. 14, 15, and 25 with David Silva, dba Silva Landscape.

City staff is also requesting City Council approve Contract Change Order No. 23, 26, 27, 28, and 29 with David Silva, dba Silva Landscape to allow Silva Landscape to maintain public landscape in the tracts listed in Table 1 above.

BACKGROUND:

On September 1, 2017, City Council approved the award of a Landscape Maintenance Services contract to David Silva dba Silva Landscape for landscape maintenance services for the City of Lathrop Parks and Streetscapes. As the City of Lathrop continues to grow, new improvements are accepted by the City creating a need for ongoing maintenance. As these improvement locations are new, they were not initially included in the budget for maintenance and therefore a budget amendment is required to cover the cost of maintenance. The locations listed in table one need to be added to the maintenance contracts and budget.

The City Manager executed Contract Change Order No. 14 for Tract 4017, Resolution 22- 5025; Contract Change Order No. 15 for Tract 4018, Resolution 21- 4948; and Contract Change Order No. 25 for VTM 15- 94, Resolution 22- 5142; to allow Silva Landscape to maintain public landscaped areas located in the Central Lathrop and South Lathrop planned areas.
