BACKGROUND
Staff has identified the revitalization of The Green Park, a city owned one-acre park located at 16700 English Country Trail.
Staff contacted Park Planet, a division of Park Associates, Inc. to develop design options for this revitalization project.
Removal of the outdated play structure, and wood fiber fall surface. Installation of play area for children 5-12, with structures that could include multiple slides, multiple climbers, multiple ground level and elevated play events, shade, and a variety of other options.
THE GREEN – EXISTING CONDITIONS
• Small, 20+ year old outdated children’s
play area.
• Outdated wood fiber fall surface.
• Play area only accommodates children
ages 3-5.

Option 1 –The Green Park Revitalization
This option includes addition of the following amenities:
• Children’s Play Area ages 5-12
• One Overhead Traverse
• Three NFuse Bays
• Three Overhead Shade Sails
• One Nimble Bay Bridge
• 13 Climbers
• 11 Elevated Play Events
• 11 Ground Level Play Events
• Three Slides
The option 1 is an extensive redesign of the existing oneacre park site including the installation of a children’s play area with a material and installation total cost of $681,770. Option one of a playground structure with three slides, three shade coverings, and climbing elements throughout.
