To the Mayor, Vice Mayor, Council, Todd, and City Staff, I am writing this email to express my sincere gratitude towards the heartfelt gesture of installing a bench and planting a tree in honor of Christina Campoy Laughlin. This is an incredible way to show the community how much Christina was appreciated. Everyone in our community knew Christina wanted what was best for the community of Lathrop. As a close friend of Christina, this act has touched me in a heartfelt way. This act of kindness, is a great example of how a city shows appreciation for people who make a large impact in the city they live in.

I would like to give special thank you to Vice Mayor Minnie for acknowledging the hard work Christina did for her community. This bench will serve as a reminder of all the work Christina has done for the community she lived in. As people sit on this bench and the tree that was planted begins to grow, it’s my hope that we as a community grow and learn from her large heart while we become that true guiding light. I want to also acknowledge council for accepting this referral and approving it.

I want to acknowledge the city manager, Steve, for being part of this amazing gesture. I believe Steve took a very humble role in making sure this was taken care of. Not seeing eye to eye doesn’t always mean you turn a blind eye on the positivity that a person does. I thank you for this. Showing your support goes a long way and is greatly appreciated.

Todd and Staff have yet again, did an amazing job at honoring Christina. I can’t thank you enough for your hard work. Todd, your professionalize and your working relationships with the community is what makes you a gem to Lathrop. You’re very approachable and take each concern, idea, and ask serious. Todd you and your staff execute request in the best way possible. Please make sure the staff involved in monument are thanked.

We as a community will hold a dedication for the bench and tree in Christina’s honor. I would like to thank you again. I am proud to be a Lathrop resident.

Sincerely,
Brandy Perkins
