1 BACKGROUND
On November 28, 2006, City Council elected to adopt the State of California’s Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Procedures as outlined in the Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCA Act).
In November 2024, State of California raised the maximum bidding thresholds, now allowing City employees to perform public project work under $75,000 without formal bidding and allowing informal bidding procedures for projects between $75,000 and $220,000 2 CHANGES TO CHAPTER 3.30 INFORMAL BIDDING
3 RECOMMENDATION
Staff Recommends City Council introduce an ordinance amendment to Chapter 3.30 “Informal Bidding” of the Lathrop Municipal Code to adjust the bidding limits as shown below:
Project under $75,000 can be performed by City staff without formal bidding; and Projects between $75,000 and $220,000 can be informally bid 4
