I have lived in Lathrop for the past three years, during which I have developed a strong sense of belonging and admiration for our vibrant, diverse community. The welcoming atmosphere, coupled with Lathrop's rapid development, has made it a city of great potential and opportunity. As a resident, I have actively engaged with local groups such as Women over 40, RI Festivals Team, and Lathrop Desi (South Asian) Women. I have taken the time to familiarize myself with the city's administrative processes by visiting City Hall. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the city's inclusivity and dynamic growth.
Lathrop's ongoing residential, commercial, and industrial expansion has not only attracted a growing population, particularly among the Asian American community, but also enabled the city to build a substantial financial reserve while maintaining essential services. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to shaping Lathrop's future.
I bring over two decades of corporate experience in Silicon Valley, where I developed skills in managing budgets, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and balancing competing priorities. My professional career has equipped me with the necessary tools to address complex challenges and foster consensus, making me well-prepared for a role in public service. Additionally, during my college years, I served as the President of the Student Government Body, which provided me with leadership experience and a foundation in governance and community engagement.
As a potential City Council member, I aim to actively engage all segments of our diverse community in shaping Lathrop's planning, development, and progress. With a fresh perspective as a new council member, l am eager to contribute innovative solutions to address the city's challenges and opportunities. • Focus on Infrastructure Improvements: In 2023, our city 's population has increased by 13.6%. As Lathrop experiences rapid growth, I am dedicated to developing sustainable infrastructure.
Lathrop's ongoing infrastructure projects, including traffic system upgrades and pavement maintenance, are critical to its growth. Drawing from my professional background, I bring expertise in planning and executing complex initiatives that involve diverse stakeholders. I am committed to ensuring that the city's infrastructure projects are efficient, sustainable, and meet the needs of residents and businesses alike.
• Commitment to Public Safety: Maintaining and enhancing public safety services is essential for any thriving community.
