2 Background
• Since 2000, The San Joaquin Council of Governments
(SJCOG) has coordinated a delegation of
policymakers, governmental officials and business
leaders from San Joaquin County to call upon
Congressional representatives and administrative staff in Washington D.C. to discuss specific issues and projects of importance to the region.
• City of Lathrop officials have participated in
approximately nineteen (19) One Voice trips.
3 Select One Voice Participants
• This year, the conference will be held from May 18 –
May 22, 2025, travel dates included.
• City policy requires Council approval for all out of state travel.
• A budget amendment is required depending the
number of Council and Staff participants. The cost per
participant is approximately $5,400
4 Accommodations
• Shortly after SJCOG announced the block rate, the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill sold out.
• Nearby hotels and approximate cost:
• Capital Hill Hotel, on Capitol Hill ($433 per night)
• AC Hotel by Marriott Navy Yard, 0.69 mi from Capitol Hill ($456 per night)
• YOTEL Washington D.C., 0.71 from Capitol Hill ($418 per night) • Hotels.com has rooms at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill for approximately $840+/- per night, approximately $470 higher than the sold out block rate.
• Council to discuss, select participants, approve out of state travel, and budget amendment.
