Dear Lathrop City Council Members,
I am writing to formally propose the establishment of a community garden within River Islands. As a resident for the past four years, I believe this initiative would significantly enhance our community's quality of life, particularly as new phases of development continue.
I previously discussed this concept with the city manager, and a potential location along the levee was suggested. To ensure the project's success, I would appreciate clarification on the specific steps and requirements necessary for approval and implementation by the council. This would include, but not be limited to, any necessary permits, land use approvals, and community engagement processes. A detailed outline of these steps would be invaluable in moving this proposal forward.
I am confident that a community garden would be a valuable asset, fostering a stronger sense of community, promoting healthy living, and providing a beautiful addition to our neighborhood. I look forward to discussing this proposal further at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Broyanca Gillette, River Islands Resident
