ITEM: APPROVE PURCHASE OF TWO ( 2) POOL VEHICLES
FROM ELK GROVE TOYOTA FOR THE CITY MANAGER
AND CITY ATTORNEY DEPARTMENTS
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution to Approve the Purchase of Two ( 2) Pool Vehicles from Elk Grove Toyota for the City
Manager and City Attorney Departments
SUMMARY:
The City fleet division is responsible for the purchasing and maintaining of fleet vehicles for the purpose of operations, facilities, construction, infrastructure, and public safety. Two ( 2) new pool vehicles are needed for the City Manager and City Attorney Departments. Staff is requesting Council approval of the purchase of two 2) vehicles.
Pursuant to the Lathrop Municipal Code ( LMC) 2. 36. 050( D), staff requested quotes from multiple dealerships. These quotes were reviewed and validated. EIk Grove Toyota provided the lowest quote of $ 59, 273 per vehicle.

BACKGROUND:
The City Manager and City Attorney Department staff attend various local and regional meetings, trainings, including travel to meet with State Agencies to discuss City business and regional projects. The current availability of pool vehicles are not sufficient to cover travel as needed. Therefore, two ( 2) pool vehicles are needed to support the City Manager and City Attorney Departments to continue to efficiently perform Citywide operations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
EIk Grove Toyota provided the lowest quote of $59, 273 per vehicle. The total cost for two ( 2) 2026 Toyota Crown pool vehicles is $ 118, 546. The funds to purchase the new vehicles will come from the equipment reserves.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LATHROP APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWO ( 2) POOL VEHICLES FROM ELK GROVE
TOYOTA FOR THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY DEPARTMENTS WHEREAS, Two ( 2) new pool vehicles are needed to support the City Manager and City Attorney Departments to continue to efficiently perform Citywide business, and staff request quotes from multiple dealerships; and WHEREAS, Elk Grove Toyota provided the lowest quote of $ 118, 546 for two 2) 2026 Toyota Crown pool vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Sufficient funds were not allocated in the approved Fiscal Year FY) 2025/6budget for the purchase of the two ( 2) 2026 Toyota Crown pool vehicles. Staff requests Council authorize a budget amendment transferring 118, 546 from the Equipment Reserves to the City Manager and City Attorney Department Budgets to fund the purchase as detailed below:

WHEREAS, staff is requesting Council approve the purchase of the following vehicles from Elk Grove Toyota:
