1 INTRODUCTION
Pursuant to CVC Section 22357.1, the Lathrop Police Department can legally enforce a prima facie speed limit of 25 mph adjacent to any children’s playground in a public park but only when children are expected to use the facilities and when signs giving notice of the speed limit are posted on regulatory signs.
