1 INTRODUCTION
Currently, Title 13 (“Public Services”) of the Lathrop Municipal Code contains multiple sections that reference the Public Works Director position with varying definitions and terminology This amendment consolidates those references into a single, general definition to ensure consistency and clarity throughout the code
The change does not alter the duties, responsibilities, or authority of the Public Works Director—it is purely an administrative and clarifying update
2 RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommend City Council introduce an ordinance to amend Title 13 (“Public Services”) to establish a general and consistent definition of “Public Works Director” and remove duplicative or conflicting definitions within Title 13 of the Lathrop Municipal Code 3
