1 BACKGROUND
On February 9, 2026, City Council approved the inclusion of asphalt parking and sidewalk reconstruction at the
southwest corner of Seventh Street and K Street into FY 2023-2024 Pavement Maintenance, Capital Improvement
Project (CIP) PS 24-05.
Council also expanded the scope of asphalt and sidewalk work to K Street with a crosswalk on K Street and
approved a budget amendment of $200,000 to fund the
work.

RECOMMENDATION
6 Staff request that City Council review and consider the updated Project scope and cost.
If Council elects to approve the Project, staff request that City Council create Seventh Street Parking
Rehabilitation, CIP PS 26-31, approve a Master
Agreement and Task Order No. 1 with GDR for $48,250
for design and construction support services, and
approve a budget amendment of $350,000 from Street
Reserves to the Project.
NEXT STEPS
Upon completion of the design, staff will formally solicit bids for the Project’s construction. Based upon the schedule submitted by GDR, staff anticipates bringing a construction contract and budget amendment request to Council for
approval at the September 14, 2026 City Council Regular Meeting.
