LAWNDALE CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
February 22, 2022
A. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Mayor Pullen-Miles called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Lawndale City Hall Council Chamber, 14717 Burin Avenue, Lawndale, California 90260.
Councilmembers Present: Mayor Robert Pullen-Miles, Mayor Pro Tem Rhonda Hofmann Gorman, Councilmember Pat Kearney, Councilmember Bernadette Suarez, Councilmember Sirley Cuevas
Other Participants: Interim City Manager Raylette Felton, City Clerk Erica Harbison, City Attorney Gregory M. Murphy, Community Services Director Mike Estes, Municipal Services Director Michael Reyes, Acting Director of Community Development Jared Chavez, Public Works Director Julian Lee
B. CEREMONIALS
Mayor Pro Tem Rhonda Hofmann Gorman led the flag salute.
C. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS - ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA
Randal Abram, Resident, spoke about Sean M. Moore as the new City Manager and congratulated him.
Ike Umbrello, Architect, spoke about the right direction the City is heading.
D. COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL
None.
E. ADMINISTRATION
1. Appointment of City Manager – Sean M. Moore
Recommendation: that the City Council (a) approve the proposed City Manager Employee Agreement between the City of Lawndale and Sean M. Moore; and (b) appoint Sean M. Moore as the City Manager effective February 22, 2022.
Interim City Manager Raylette Felton reported on the proposed appointment of Sean M. Moore to City Manager.
Sean M. Moore thanked the Council for the opportunity.
City Clerk Erica Harbison administered the oath of allegiance to City Manager Sean M. Moore.
A motion by Councilmember Kearney to approve proposed City Manager Employee Agreement between the City of Lawndale and Sean M. Moore and appoint Sean M. Moore as Minutes - City Council Special Meeting
February 22, 2022
the City Manager effective February 22, 2022 was seconded by Councilmember Suarez and carried by a vote of 5-0.
F. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to conduct, the Mayor adjourned the meeting at 6:15 p.m. _________________________________
