Call To Order
Mayor Pro-Tem Gastil called the Regular City Council meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.

Proclamation - Fire Prevention Week.
Mayor Pro-Tem read and presented the Proclamation in Support of Fire revention Week to Bent Koch. Fire Chief and Fire Marshal Shaun Richardson Bent Koch, Fire Chief provided comments on Fire Prevention Week.

Action: Approved City Council Meeting Minutes for the Council Meeting held on September 5, 2023

2. Public Hearing to Consider an Appeal of the Community Development Manager's Decision to Deny Minor Use Permit MUP-220-0007, a Request for Early Separation Findings for a Cannabis Dispensary at 8280 Broadway in the Heavy Commercial Zone. APN 499-200-22-00
The Clerk stated all notices as requested by law had been given on the public hearing.
Lydia Romero, City Manager addressed and informed the Council that the City has received a request from the appellant to continue the hearing to October 17, 2023.
Action: Motion by Councilmember Mendoza, second by Councilmember Snow to grant the appellant's request for a continuance on the matter to Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

City Manager Report
Lydia Romero, City Manager shared that she attended the CA League of California Cities, Annual Conference and Expo.
Romero announced that Heartland Fire and Rescue will have its Fire Prevention Week Open House on Saturday, October 7, 2023 and the 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat will be held at the Lemon Grove Recreation Center on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.

There being no further business, Mayor Pro-Tem Gastil adjourned the City Council meeting at 7:26 p.m.to the next Regular City Council Meeting on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
