OF THE LEMON GROVE CITY COUNCIL

Call to Order
Mayor Vasquez called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m.
Roll Call
Present: Mayor Racquel Vasquez, Mayor Pro-Tem Jennifer Mendoza, Councilmember Alysson Snow, Councilmember Liana LeBaron (Joined at 5:47 p.m.) and Councilmember George Gastil.
Absent: None
Staff Present: Lydia Romero, City Manager; Kristen Steinke, City Attorney; Lt. Joseph Barry, San Diego County Sheriff's Department; Michael Fellows, Community Development Manager; Izzy Murguia, Public Works Director; Roberto Hidalgo, Human Resources Manager; Darlene Truver, Interim Finance Manager; Bella Casares, Associate Accountant; Portland Bates, Sr.
Management Analyst; Fire Chief Bent Koch, Heartland Fire and Rescue; and Joel G. Pablo, City Clerk.
Pledge of Allegiance
Mayor Pro-Tem Mendoza led the Pledge of Allegiance.
City Council Team Building and Priority Setting for Fiscal Year 2024-25 Lydia Romero, City Manager provided introductory remarks and introduced John Gavares of the Gavares Group who lead the team building exercise.
Councilmember Liana LeBaron joined at 5:47 p.m.
City Council heard an update on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 priorities from City Manager Romero.
Mr. Garvares lead the Council on the remainder of the priority setting exercise for FY2024-25.
Public Comment
Mayor Vasquez opened the public comment period. The following individuals provided public comment: Joshua, Seth Smith, Cynthia Jurado, Jason Sundberg, Ken King, Jessyka Heredia and Gabrielle Bunn. Mayor Vasquez closed the public comment period.
City Manager Lydia Romero mentioned the FY2024-25 Work Plan will be placed on the City Council meeting agenda for Tuesday, June 4, 2024 for consideration.
