Call to Order
Mayor Snow convened the Special City Council Meeting to order at 8:54 p.m.
Roll Call
Present: Mayor Alysson Snow (arrived at 6:21 p.m.), Mayor Pro Tem Jessyka Heredia, Councilmember Seth Smith, Councilmember Jennifer Mendoza, Councilmember Yadira Altamirano.
Staff Present
Interim City Manager Tony Winney, Public Works Director Izzy Murguia, City Attorney Kristen Steinke, Public Works Operations and Administrative Manager Tom Martin, City Clerk Joel G.
Pablo.
Changes to the Agenda
City Clerk Pablo stated there are no changes to the agenda Closed Session
City Attorney Steinke read the Council into Closed Session. The Council convened into Closed Session at 8:54 p.m.
a. Public Employment (Government Code §54957): City Manager The City Council reconvened from Closed Session at 9:36 p.m. with all Councilmembers present.
City Attorney Kristen Steinke reported that on a motion by Councilmember Mendoza and a second by Mayor Snow, the City Council voted in Closed Session to proceed with Bob Murray and Associates as the recruiting firm for the permanent City Manager position. The contract will be presented on the agenda for the next regularly scheduled City Council meeting. The motion carried unanimously.
Adjournment
Mayor Snow adjourned the meeting at 9:37 p.m. and noted that the next regularly scheduled City Couneil meeting will be on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
