Regular Meeting Minutes
November 14, 2023
C
hief Alves stated Placer County has jurisdiction over the Veteran’s Hall for any calls for service. All calls should be directed to the Sherriff’s department, as they would enforce any ordinances and or crimes that are occurring at that location; therefore, the City of Lincoln has no authority. Additionally, the City of Lincoln and Placer County has a MOU agreement (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Placer County. Chief Alves, asked the City Attorney, Kristine Mollenkopf to further respond.

K
ristine Mollenkopf, City Attorney, reiterated that the cities current noise ordinance (Ord. 97B §) which was written in 1952, is outdated, not sustainable, and difficult to enforce, as it is written, as it pertains to noise over a twenty-four-hour period and not specific to a particular situation.
