Title: City Projects Update
Contact Information: Ron Walker, Public Works Director
Background: 1. Pennington Road - West Project: For members of the public that have questions and/or concerns an information line and website have been set up.

The information telephone number is (530) 557-2023. The paving portion of the project has been completed, the next phase will be to raise the manholes and water main valve boxes to match the road elevation.

2. Pennington East - East Project: Preliminary design underway. Plans at 60%. Specifications and Estimate at 50%.

3. P Street Lift Station Improvement Project: Staff received an update from Kevin Warring with the Water Board on June 21, 2023. Kevin stated that he did not have any updates regarding the application, the Environmental and financial packages are in for review. The general and technical package are complete based on his initial review, and the funding agreement execution is on schedule to be executed sometime around the end of the year.

4. Wastewater Treatment Plant Solar Project: eDesignC Incorporated are reviewing staff questions regarding their design-build documents.

5. Wastewater Treatment Plant Headworks Rehabilitation Project: The State has not evaluated this grant application yet, because of a backlog of grant applications.

6. Well 7 and Well 4 Generator Grant Project: This grant application received a Priority 2 ranking according to the California Public Utility Commission's High Fire Threat District Map. If there is any funding left after all Priority 1 applications have been addressed, the State Water Resource Control Board will start on Priority 2 ranked applications.

10 City of Live Oak
Report to City Council
Meeting Date: July 19, 2023
Title: Purchase of a New City Truck
Contact Information: Luis Cibrian, Parks and Recreation Director Location: Citywide
Background: The maintenance cost and reliability of the current truck is unacceptable.

Maintenance repair cost has increased tremendously of the past years. The current truck we are wanting to upgrade is the oldest in our fleet. Our current 2001 Silverado is in bad working condition. Staff has contacted three local dealerships Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge to solicit bids. Staff recommends purchasing from the lowest bidder.

Analysis: The Ford truck will be meeting all City needs. Staff will pursue the current Ford bid. The truck is a Ford F-150 Regular cab long bed. Having the option of the long bed is ideal to haul tools around and large tree limbs.

Fiscal Impacts: The purchase of a new city truck was included in FY 2023-2024 operating budget.

Recommendation: Approve the purchase of a new Parks and Recreation truck for Fiscal Year 2023-2024.
