UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE CITY ATTORNEY AND CITY MANAGER City Manager Benjamin Moody reported that Luis Cibrian, Parks and Recreation Director, is coordinating with regional partners on the Heart of America Festival celebrating America's 250th birthday. Mr. Moody also provided an update on fireworks stands and the upcoming 4th of July holiday. He reported that the City will utilize social media announcements, city signage, and text message notifications to encourage compliance with local fireworks regulations and help reduce the use of illegal fireworks. Mr. Moody further noted that there are currently no agenda items planned for the July pt meeting. As a result, that meeting may be canceled. Regarding recent social media comments about Flock cameras, Mr. Moody explained that the devices are mounted on black poles with small cameras and function as automated license plate readers. The cameras are strategically positioned and located throughout Sutter County, outside the city limits. They were acquired through a grant and are used by law enforcement to assist with criminal investigations by identifying and locating vehicles associated with reported crimes.

COUNCILMEMBER COMMENTS
