SPECIAL MEETING
1. CALL TO ORDER – The meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor John Marchand at 5:02 pm, held in person at 1016 S. Livermore Avenue and remotely using Zoom and YouTube.
2. ROLL CALL – Present: Mayor John Marchand , Vice Mayor Brittni Kiick and Council Members Ben Barrientos, Evan Branning and Robert W. Carling.
3. SPECIAL MEETING ITEM
AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PUBLIC TO ADDRESS THE CITY COUNCIL
REGARDING THE SPECIAL MEETING ITEM WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE MAYOR.
3.1 City Council interview and appointment of Planning Commission applicants to three vacancies with regular terms ending March 1, 2027.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends the City Council interview applicants and appoint three Planning Commissioners with regular terms ending March 1, 2027. Applicants were randomly selected to be interviewed in the following order:
Tracy Kronzak
Jacob Anderson
Erik Bjorklund
Asa Strout
Neal Pann
Yolanda Fintschenko
Carmelita (Mel) Chiong
Staff also recommends City Council direct the City Clerk to administer the Oath of Office to the newly appointed Planning Commissioners.
Mayor Marchand opened the public comment period.
There were no speakers, and the comment period was closed.
The City Council interviewed each candidate.

ANDERSON, AND YOLANDA FINTSCHENKO TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND DIRECTED THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE THE OATH OF OFFICE.
8. ADJOURNMENT – at 6:40 pm to a Special City Council meeting on Monday, March 6 , 2023 at 5:00 pm, and a Regular City Council meeting on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 7:00 pm, Civic Center Meeting Hall, City Council Chambers, 1016 S. Livermore Avenue and virtually using Zoom.
